Description Marc Haber 2023-12-28 01:07:25 MST
Hi,

this was reported by a user of Debian/GNU hurd on an i386 machine:

Since the upgrade from 1.9.14p2 to 1.9.15p in unstable, sudo aborts with a malloc error on Hurd i386.

$ LC_ALL=C sudo apt-get install acpi-support-base
malloc(): invalid next size (unsorted)
Keskeytetty

There is (a little) more information in the linked bug report.

Greetings
Marc

I can reproduce this with "make check" on hurd as well.

Hi Todd, thanks. Do you want me to make a patch for the Debian package, and test the fix in Debian unstable or wait for your next release?

Are you planning to do a p5 release soon?

Greetings
Marc
