One of my Debian users offers up a patch to correct a segfault on startup under certain conditions.  Looks reasonable, so I'm folding it in to my package builds.  See http://bugs.debian.org/639568 for details.

Thanks for the diff, this will be fixed in the next sudo 1.8.3 release candidate

Sudo 1.8.3 is out now which has this fixed.
