Description Michael Monteith 2005-06-27 08:17:31 MDT
When we compiled Sudo 1.6.8p9 using -with-Pam support Sudo will not validate
the user on N4000 through the console. Also had this issues with p5 as well.
But now with trying to implement LDAP we need with-Pam support. I get logged
in:
me@myhost:/:
I run
me@myhost:/:sudo su -
Password:
Sorry, try again.

Telnetting directly the box works fine, it's only through the console it has
problems.

It seems to work fine on an RP7410 system which use virtual consoles.

This sounds like a pam configuration issue; sudo itself does not distinguish between console and
non-console logins.

Closing as this is most likely a PAM configuration issue.
