When I try to run any kind of administrative task, the process just exits without completing. I have tried to perform tasks in the terminal and all I get is this message:

sudo: /etc/sudoers is mode 0460, should be 0440

Now, I have no clue what mode 0460 is, or how it got there, or how to get it back to 0440. I have read faqs, and there is no mention of this message anywhere, so I must assume it is some kind of bug. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
