Description Timothy Weiand 2009-12-07 14:16:00 MST
Currently the password prompt timeout is configured in minutes. More fine grained control can be attained if this is configured in seconds.

Reported to Apple via radar #7441598.

What is the use case for such fine grained control over the timeout? I'm not sure I see how sub-minute password timeout are useful.
Comment 2 Timothy Weiand 2009-12-08 15:02:39 MST
Agree, seconds is too granular. (Changed title)

Use case: Administrator wants to have the password prompt timeout to be 1.5 minutes.
Comment 3 Todd C. Miller 2009-12-08 16:50:11 MST
Sudo 1.7.3 will support using floating point timeouts such as 1.5 minutes.
