Description mc2man 2011-02-26 14:18:03 MST
Starting with 1.7.4 the password timeout is only in the terminal that the password was entered in.
Close that term or open a new one and password needs to be re-entered
Is there any way to re-enable the prior behavior as seen in 1.7.2

From the sudo 1.7.4 UPGRADE file:

Additionally, the tty_tickets sudoers option is now enabled by
default. To restore the old behavior (single time stamp per user),
    add a line like:
        Defaults !tty_tickets
to sudoers or use the --without-tty-tickets configure option.
